HIGH FLOW INSUFFLATION UNIT UHI-4
4.10 Inspection of UHI-4 operation when using a
veress needle/trocar/port device for transanal
access
If the tube obstruction alarm or the excessive pressure alarm
sounds, or if the cavity pressure indication increases, the
veress needle or trocar, and other connected devices are
damaged or not compatible with the UHI-4. Do not use
incompatible veress needles or trocar, and other connected
devices.
If you observe that the filter is damaged, remove the filter
from the insufflation tube, connect the insufflation tube
directly to the CO
2
feed connector and begin insufflation. If
the problem no longer exists, the filter is damaged; do not
use it. Replace it with a new filter.
If you suspect gas leakage, check the connection.
1. Inspect the veress needle (or trocar, and other connected devices) referring
to the instruction manuals of those devices.
2. Set the insufflation mode to LOW and confirm that the CO
2
comes out
securely from the connected veress needle (or trocar, and other connected
devices).
4.11 Power OFF
Press the power switch of the high flow insufflation unit (UHI-4) to turn the high
flow insufflation unit OFF. The power indicator will turn off.
