5.15 User mode
The user mode is used to change the functions of this instrument.
The user mode can change the settings of the following five functions.
• Volume of operation sound and guided sound
Either “Low volume” or “Large volume” can be selected.
• Cavity mode selection; selectable or unelectable
When this is set to “Selectable”, the operation described in Section 5.3,
“Selecting the cavity mode” on page 79 is required after switching this
instrument ON.
When this is set to “Not selectable”, you can skip the operation
described in Section 5.3, “Selecting the cavity mode” on page 79 jump
to Section 5.4, “Setting the cavity pressure” on page 80.
• Relief mode ON/OFF
The relief mode can be switched ON (active) and OFF (inactive). For the
explanation of the relief more, refer to Section 5.13, “Relief mode” on
page 96.
• Smoke evacuation delay time
When the smoke evacuation function is used, the smoke evacuation can
be continued for a few seconds even after the output from the
electrosurgical generator or ultrasonic generator has stopped. The
smoke evacuation delay time setting is used to set the period until the
smoke evacuation is stopped. For the explanation of the smoke
evacuation function, refer to Section 5.10, “Automatic smoke evacuation
system/function (when using the electrosurgical generator or the
ultrasonic generator)” on page 88.
• Alarm delay time
The period from the generation of an excessive pressure or tube
obstruction caution to the execution of actual caution operations of this
instrument can be selected from “0 sec.” and “4.5 sec.” For the caution
operations, refer to Section 7.2, “Alarm functions” on page 140.
