HIGH FLOW INSUFFLATION UNIT UHI-4
When the adapter for medical gas pipeline is connected
1. Confirm that the green LED at the bottom of the bar graph for supply
pressure is lit.
2. Press the start/stop switch to confirm that the gas supply is activated. If gas
supply is stopped, check the connections of the hose, the high flow
insufflation unit and the medical gas pipeline adapter, and inspect the
medical gas pipeline system to confirm that the supply pressure is at the
specified level (refer to “Appendix”).
3. Press the insufflation switch to stop the gas supply.
4.8 Inspection of insufflation
1. Inspect the CO
2
insufflation connector for scratches, cracks, or other
damage.
2. Set the insufflation mode to HIGH and press the START switch.
3. Confirm that CO
2
is delivered from the CO
2
insufflation connector.
4. Confirm that the operation is performed through repeated cycles of
insufflation and pauses. If insufflation is performed continuously without
pauses, or if insufflation cannot be performed, immediately stop using the
insufflator and contact Olympus.
5. Press the insufflation switch.
If no CO
2
is supplied, immediately stop using the instrument
and contact Olympus.
