4-2-5 Master Status 2 (Word n+6)
The Master Status 2 word collects all error information on the Unit master
function. The status information is collected in the Master Status 1 word.
The contents of the Master Status 2 word (Word n+6) are:
Word n+6 [n = CIO 1,500 + (25 x unit number)]
04 Unit in
Data_Exchange
ON Unit If set to ON, this bit indicates that the Unit is in Data_Exchange with all
allocated slave stations.
OFF Unit If set to OFF, this bit indicates that the Unit is not in Data_Exchange
with at least one of the allocated slave stations.
05 Auto-CLEAR
enabled
ON Unit If set to ON, this bit indicates that the Auto-CLEAR function has been
enabled. In case an error occurs in one of the allocated slave stations
during Data_Exchange, this function forces the Unit to the CLEAR
mode, in which it will force all allocated slave stations to a Fail Safe
mode.
OFF Unit If set to OFF, the Auto-CLEAR function has been disabled. If in this
case an error occurs in an allocated slave station, the PROFIBUS-DP
Master Unit will continue Data_Exchange with the remaining slave sta-
tions.

07 Unit contains a
valid configuration
ON Unit If set to ON, this bit indicates that the Unit contains a valid Configura-
tion. With this Configuration it can parameterize the allocated slave sta-
tions and achieve Data_Exchange.
OFF Unit If this bit is set to OFF, the Unit does not contain a valid Configuration or
transfer of a new Configuration is in progress.

00 Disturbed Bus error ON Unit When turned ON, the Disturbed Bus error indicates that distorted mes-
sages have been received by the Unit. This may occur if the network is
not properly terminated or a cable is used, which is too long for the
selected baud rate.
OFF Unit Indicates that no Disturbed Bus error has occurred.
