Why are some set elements not displayed on overlapping screens of Omron Touch terminals?
    • M
      Matthew DiazSep 12, 2025
If some set elements are not displayed on overlapping screens, it is because the data is transmitted from the host in screen units, the number of elements on the overlapping screens has exceeded the maximum permissible without being checked by the Support Tool. Check the maximum number of elements, create the screen data again, then send all the screen data in a batch to the PT.

Why can't I call up the System Menu on Omron NT21 Touch terminals?
    • T
      Tammy JohnsonSep 12, 2025
If the System Menu cannot be called up, it is possible that Display System Menu under Change System Settings in the System Installer mode is set to Disabled. In the System Installer mode, set Display System Menu to Enabled.

Why aren't some elements displayed on a normal screen of Omron NT21 Touch terminals?
    • T
      Tonya JordanSep 12, 2025
If some elements arranged on a normal screen are not displayed, it could be because the quantity of read data exceeds the stipulated restriction. Check the maximum number of elements, create the screen data again, then transmit all of the screen data in a batch to the PT.

How to fix too faint display on Omron NT21?
    • C
      carpentertimothySep 9, 2025
If the display is too faint, the contrast may be too high. For the NT31/NT31C or NT631/NT631C, use the system menu to reduce the contrast. For the NT21, use the switches on the back of the PT to increase the contrast.

Why can't I use the Programming Console function on Omron NT21 Touch terminals?
    • A
      Amanda WarrenAug 23, 2025
The Programming Console function may be unusable due to several reasons. First, the communication settings might be incorrect; ensure the communication method/communication port is set correctly (With C-series PC: 1:1 NT Link; With CS/CJ-series PC: 1:N NT Link). Second, a Programming Console might be connected; disconnect it, as it's not possible to use both simultaneously with all PCs except CS/CJ-series. Third, the PC may not support the Programming Console function; check your PC model's compatibility. Finally, the system program for other vendor’s PCs has been installed (PC models other than OMRON); install the correct system program for OMRON PCs.

Why doesn't the trend graph display agree with the actual time axis on Omron NT21?
    • R
      Robert HamptonSep 7, 2025
The trend graph display may not agree with the actual time axis if the cycle for graph display update processing is longer than the set sampling cycle. To resolve this, delete other elements on the same screen as the trend graph that are allocated words in the host and have a high update frequency, or lengthen the sampling cycle.

What causes the graph display not to change on Omron NT21?
    • J
      Jon YorkSep 6, 2025
If the graph display on your Omron Touch terminals is not changing, it is likely that one of the percentage display settings — –100%, 0%, or 100% — is incorrect. Ensure that these values are set in the following relationship: –100% value < 0% value < 100% value.

Why doesn't the screen change when calling Device Monitor from the PPTT status control area on Omron NT21 Touch terminals?
    • E
      Eddie BaldwinSep 5, 2025
If the screen doesn’t change when the Device Monitor function is called from the PPTT status control area, the issue might be due to the communications protocol setting at the PT not being 1:1 NT Link or 1:N NT Link. Check the memory switches and set the connected PC’s serial port protocol to 1:1 NT Link or 1:N NT Link, and ensure the same protocol is set in the PC. Alternatively, the system program installed in the PT could be for a PC maker other than OMRON; the Device Monitor function only works when connected to an OMRON PC. Verify the system program type and ensure it’s an OMRON Direct Access system program with version 3. or higher.

Why does the PC mode change to MONITOR mode on Omron NT21?
    • A
      allisonlopezSep 4, 2025
The PC mode changes to MONITOR mode because this is an Omron Touch terminals specification when host link communication is used. When using a PC that can also be connected using the NT link method, use an NT link connection as there is no mode change with the NT link method.

Why can't I input numeric values on Omron NT21?
    • K
      kimberly32Sep 2, 2025
If you are unable to input numeric values on your Omron Touch terminals, it is likely that the upper/lower (max./min.) limit check for numeric value input is in effect. Check the screen data’s upper/lower (max./min.) limit check setting for numeric value input, and correct it if necessary.
