To connect several encoders in a network, begin by
connecting one end of an HTCOM cable to the 9-pin
port on the main station marked HTCOM (CN8).
Connect the other end of the HTCOM cable to the 9-pin
port marked PP HTCOM (CN9) on the first auxiliary
encoder (see Figure 5 on page 21). Connect the next
encoder by connecting one end of another HTCOM
cable to the 9-pin port marked HTCOM (CN8) on the
first auxiliary and connecting the other end of the
HTCOM cable to the 9-pin port marked PP HTCOM
(CN9) on the second auxiliary encoder. You may
continue in this manner until a maximum of eight
encoders are connected (seven auxiliary encoders and
one main station).
