7. The screen will prompt you to insert and withdraw
the card. The card is now erased and may be re-used
in the system at any time.
8. When you are finished erasing cards, press the
MENU key to select another function, or press the
EXIT key to log out of the system.
What To Do If…
A Guest Loses a Keycard
If a guest keycard is lost, a NEW GUEST card must be
made for each guest in the room who has a key. By
encoding a NEW GUEST key, the code of the room
lock will be changed which will disable the lost
keycard. If the guest had two or more keycards and
only one is lost, it is imperative that the remaining
keycards be retrieved and re-encoded, or they will not
work in the lock once the new card is used.
A Guest Wants an Additional Keycard
To make an additional keycard, use the COPY GUEST
function. This will NOT cancel the existing keycard for
the room. This is also the function to be used if the
guest has left his or her keycard in the room. As long as
the key is not lost, it is okay to make a copy.
A Guest Key Does Not Work
If a guest key does not work in a guestroom lock, first
use the READ function to determine if the key is valid
