Read and Erase a Card
The read and erase
f
unction is used to
enhance the hotel’s
Express Check-out
f
unction.
This function will read a card, erase it and check out the
room if the card is still valid. This function is used if a
group of cards is left at the front desk by the guests or
the housekeeping staff.
To use the READ AND ERASE A CARD function,
perform the following steps:
1. Enter your password and press the ENTER key.
2. Press the MENU key.
3. Press the DOWN ARROW key six times to select
READ AND ERASE A CARD.
4. Press the ENTER key. The screen will prompt you to
insert and withdraw the card.
5. The screen will display the specific card information,
including the authorizations and the expiration date
and time. The screen will prompt you to press the
ENTER key if you want to erase the card, or press
the CLR key if you do not want to erase the card.

6. If you choose to erase the card, the screen will
prompt you to press the ENTER key if you want to
perform a guest check out, or press the CLR key if
you do not want to perform a guest check out.
