5. Open the sample chamber cover by pressing
down on the red latch (Fig. 4-16).
6. Tear open the cassette pouch and remove the
cassette. Wipe any excess moisture from the
cassette with a clean dry cloth.
NOTE: IftheQCsampleistobeintroducedwitha
capillarytube,removethesyringeadapter
beforeplacingthecassetteintothechamber.
7. Insert the cassette into the chamber.
Press down to ensure that the cassette is seated
properly (Fig. 4-17).
NOTE:Runcassettesimmediatelyafteropening
pouch.Donotrun,ifcassettehasbeenout
ofpouchformorethan2minutes.
8. Close the SMC cover (Fig. 4-18).
