3. Setting of torque limiting
The maximum output torque of the motor can be limited. Set when suppressing the motor output torque for safe uses or limiting
according to a load.
[Setting range: 0 to 300%]
If the time to lock the motor shaft exceeds ve seconds, use the torque limiting value at 50% or less.


Setting procedures
Example: When using external DC voltage
1. Set the "Speed, torque limiting command selection" parameter (ID: 1820) to "3: Torque limiting is analog setting."
2. Connect a DC power supply.

Related I/O signals
If the TL input is assigned to the input terminal, the setting of whether to enable or disable the torque limiting value can be
switched externally.
Also, using the TLC output can externally detect whether the torque limiting is presently performed.

TL input
When the TL input is assigned to the input terminal, the setting of whether to enable or disable the torque limiting can be
switched by the ON-OFF status of the TL input.
When the TL input is being ON: The torque limiting function is enabled, and the maximum output torque of the motor is limited
based on the set torque limiting value.
When the TL input is being OFF: The torque limiting function is disabled, and the maximum output torque of the motor is the
peak torque.
Note
When the TL input is not assigned to the input terminal, this input will be always set to ON. If the TL input is assigned
to multiple input terminals, the function will be performed when all of the terminals are turned ON.

TLC output
When the motor torque reaches the torque limiting value, the TLC output is turned ON.
Note
If the torque limiting value is set to less than 20%, the TLC output may not be stable.
