Cable and peripheral equipment

Connection cable
This cable is used to extend the wiring distance between the driver and motor. The wiring distance between the motor and driver
can be extended to a maximum of 20.5 m (67.2 ft.).
Flexible connection cables are also available.
The connection cables and exible connection cables are shielded cables which have taken measures against the electrical noise.
The connection cable for extension can be used by connecting up to two pieces.

Regeneration resistor
Use the regeneration resistor when continuous regeneration operation such as gravitational operation in vertical drive is
performed or an inertia load is operated with round shaft type motors of 300 W or higher.
Also, if the stopping time gets longer when starting and stopping operations of a large inertia load are repeated frequently, use
the regeneration resistor.

Install the regeneration resistor in a location where heat dissipation
capacity equivalent to a level achieved with a heat sink [made of
aluminum, 350×350×3 mm (13.78×13.78×0.12 in.) or equivalent] is
ensured.
Secure the regeneration resistor on a smooth metal plate oering high
heat conductivity, using two screws (M4, not supplied).

About the mounting bracket (
SOL
) of the motor
When the mounting bracket and motor are secured, use so that the direction of the connector for motor connection is
installed upward or sideways against the installation surface. Installing the motor connector to the downward direction is not
recommended since the motor connector is come into contact with the mounting bracket or installation surface.
