Confirmation Tones
Description When various features are completed, the system confirms the
success of the operation by sending a confirmation tone to the
extension user through the speaker of the telephone.
Confirmation tone 1:
(a) Indicates that the new setting is different from the previous
setting.
(b) Sets or cancels Electronic Station Lockout.
Confirmation tone 2:
(a) Indicates that the new setting is the same as the previous setting.
(b) Also, sent when various features are successfully performed or
accessed. (e.g., Call Hold, Automatic Callback Busy)
Confirmation tone 3:
Sent when a conversation is established just after dialing.
For example, when accessing the following features by their feature
numbers:
• Conference
• Call Pickup
• Paging – External
• Paging Answer
This tone can be disabled by system programming so that the user
can start talking immediately.
