Select command station
Here you can see all available PIKO SmartBoxes. Usually there will be only one choice here.
Please check your WiFi settings in case the list is empty.
Act as main controller
This is a safety feature. It allows you to choose how the system reacts when the connection between
PIKO SmartBox
®
and PIKO SmartControl
®
is lost.
If you activate this option and the connection is lost, the PIKO SmartBox
®
will switch to emergency
stop.
To reactivate your system just press “STOP” again to switch back to normal mode (LED will turn to
green).
If this option is not activated nothing will happen after a connection loss. The last information and
settings will be stored by the PIKO SmartBox
®
and the layout will go on like nothing happened.
*a connection loss is dened as a unwilling loss of WiFi connection between PIKO SmartBox
®
and
PIKO SmartControl
®
in this case.
Stop button delay
As the STOP-button is very close to the analog knob you may happen to touch this button unwillingly
thus causing an emergency stop on your layout.
To reduce the sensitivity this option allows you to add a 0.5s trigger delay for this button.
Instead of just touching you now will have to keep the button pressed for 0.5s.
To reactivate the system, just press the STOP-button again for 0.5s.
Trace speed
This option is for the motorized function of the speed dial.
When you are using several locos you can choose whether the speed dial should jump to the current
speed of the selected loco or if it should do nothing.
Compact function view
If this option is activated the system will only show 12 functions per loco or for RailComPlus equipped
locomotives the available functions as reported by the loco’s decoder.
If this option is deactivated the system will always show 28 functions, if they are available or not.
Please note that you can also add more functions to a loco, even if the function is activated. This can
be done by manually editing a loco.
Don’t lock screen
This function replaces the system’s „display timeout“ that is stored in the Android system (time before
the display will be switched off automatically).
If this function is activated your PIKO SmartControl
®
will not turn off it’s display as long as the app is
activ.
Please note that this will reduce battery life.
