12. Safety notice
• As the PIKO SmartControl
®
includes highly sensitive electronics we recommend you handle it with
care. Avoid vibrations, drops or any other excessive force on the device.
• Protect the display against sharp objects like tools, try to avoid scratches.
• Always place your device on a level, nonslip surface to avoid any accidental drops.
• Protect the device against direct sun light and too much heat.
• Do not cover the device while charging the battery.
• Only use ofcial accessories with the device.
• Avoid permanently operating the device attached to a charger.
• Only power up the system if you are sure that all electrical connections are OK and that no short
circuits exist.
• Protect the device against dust, dirt or wet conditions. Clean it frequently.
• For indoor use only, do not use outdoors!
• For age 14 and older. This is not a toy!
• Do not change any settings in the menu „developer options“! Manipulation will void the warranty.!
13. FAQ
I was just playing, suddenly the system doesn’t show any reaction anymore. All devices are still
activated and I cannot see an obvious problem.
Please make sure you didn’t accidentally touch the “STOP”-button. The status LED of the PIKO
SmartControl
®
should be green.
Check if the WiFi connection is still active.

and the PIKO SmartControl
®

I started my device. A WiFi connection as shown in the status bar. But when I open the PIKO
SmartControl
®
app there are unknown locomotives which I didn’t store there. I also cannot control any
functions, nothing happens on the track. What’s going on?
Due to technical reasons the PIKO SmartControl
®
app includes a so called “demo mode”. May be it
was activated accidentially. To gain control of your layout again, please follow these steps:
