1. Standard Installation
A. Description
The Warrior III fuel quantity gauge is a dual instrument (two indicators in one case), calibrated in
fractional divisions of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 (gallons), and F (FULL). A transmitter unit (i.e. - sender),
comprising a resistance strip and a movable control arm, is installed in each fuel tank. The arm
position is controlled by a float in the fuel tank. The float position is transmitted electrically to the
indicator needles, which move to show the amount of fuel in each tank.
Gauge removal and installation instructions are found in 39-10-00.
