PROPELLER ASSEMBLY
This section lists procedures for the removal, cleaning, inspection, repair, and installation of the propeller
assembly. Servicing information may be found in 12-10-00.
1. Propeller
WARNING: FAILURE TO CONSULT APPLICABLE VENDOR PUBLICATION(S), WHEN SERVICING
OR INSPECTING VENDOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLED IN PIPER AIRCRAFT, MAY
RENDER THE AIRCRAFT UNAIRWORTHY. (SEE INTRODUCTION - SUPPLEMENTARY
PUBLICATIONS.)
The Warrior III is equipped with a Sensenich fixed pitch all metal propeller.
A. Removal (See Figure 2.)
WARNING: PROPELLER MAY KICK BACK WHEN ROTATED BY HAND - USE EXTREME
CAUTION. SWITCH OFF (GROUND) BOTH MAGNETOS BEFORE ROTATING
PROPELLER.
(1) Insure master and magneto switches are off.
(2) Move fuel selector to off position and place mixture control in idle cut-off.
(3) Note the position of each component to facilitate reinstallation.
(4) Remove the screws attaching the spinner assembly and remove the spinner.
(5) Remove the safety wire that secures the six attaching bolts and remove the bolts. The propeller
is now free to be removed.
