What to do if Planet WDAP-C1750 is not connecting to the Internet?
    • L
      lisahamiltonAug 8, 2025
If your Planet Wireless Access Point isn't connecting to the Internet, start by checking the Internet connection status in the ‘Status’ -> ‘Internet Connection’ menu of the router connected to the AP. If you had a direct internet connection before, try connecting your computer directly to the device provided by your internet service provider to see if the issue persists. Also, double-check the PPPoE / L2TP / PPTP user ID and password entered in the router’s settings. It may also be useful to contact your Internet service provider to check if there are any issues with their service. If you can't connect to specific websites, check the URL/Keyword filter settings. Try resetting both the AP and the device provided by your Internet service provider, and try again later.

If you can’t locate your Planet Wireless Access Point with your wireless device, check if ‘Broadcast ESSID’ is turned off. Ensure that both antennas are properly secured. If you are too far from the AP, try moving closer. If ESSID broadcast is disabled, remember that you have to manually input the ESSID on your wireless client.

      Brian JimenezAug 23, 2025
If file downloading is very slow or frequently interrupted on your Planet Wireless Access Point, first check if the QoS function is enabled and try disabling it. Keep in mind that Internet speed can vary, so patience is sometimes needed. You can also try resetting the AP to see if it improves the situation. Check what other computers on your local network are doing, as large file transfers can impact overall network speed. If this issue is new, contact your Internet service provider to inquire about potential network problems.

If the Planet Wireless Access Point is not responding when you try to access it via a web browser, ensure the power cord and Ethernet cable are properly and firmly connected.
