Why can't I connect to the Internet using my Planet WDAP-C7200AC?

  There could be several reasons why you're unable to connect to the internet. First, check the Internet connection status in the ‘Status’ -> ‘Internet Connection’ menu on the router connected to the AP. If you've previously connected a computer directly to the internet, try doing so again to see if the issue lies with your internet service provider. Also, double-check the PPPoE / L2TP / PPTP user ID and password entered in the router’s settings. If you still can't connect, try resetting both your AP and the device provided by your Internet service provider. If you can connect to some websites but not others, review your URL/Keyword filter settings. Sometimes, the Internet may be slow, so please be patient.

  If you're unable to locate your Planet Wireless Access Point (AP) with your wireless device, first ensure that 'Broadcast ESSID' is not set to off. Check that both antennas are properly secured. Also, make sure you are not too far from the AP; try moving closer. If ESSID broadcast is disabled, remember that you have to manually input the ESSID on your wireless client.

  If your Planet Wireless Access Point (AP) is not responding when you try to access it via a web browser, start by checking the power cord and Ethernet cable connections to ensure they are correctly and firmly inserted. Verify the power adapter is working correctly, especially if all the LEDs on the AP are off. Ensure your computer is using the same IP address section as the AP. If you're using MAC or IP address filtering, try connecting with another computer. If that doesn't work, reset the AP to the factory default settings by pressing the reset button for over 7 seconds. You can also use the Smart Discovery Tool to try and locate the AP. If this happened after a firmware upgrade, contact your dealer for assistance. If all else fails, contact the dealer for help.

  It is not a malfunction if you can keep your hand on the Planet Wireless Access Point’s case. However, if you smell something burning or see smoke coming out from the AP or A/C power adapter, immediately disconnect the AP and power source from utility power (ensure it’s safe to do so first!), and contact your dealer for assistance.
