The Infrared thermometer (Figure 15: Non-Contact Infrared
Thermometer), measures the surface temperature of the skin.
An optical component of the unit collects energy and focuses
it onto a detector. Then an electronic component translates
the information into a temperature reading which is displayed
on the thermometer.
The laser is used for aiming purpose only.
Please note that calibration is required yearly and is within your
responsibilities.
Lumenis does not calibrate or follow up thermometer
calibration.
