4.4 Film Feed Assembly
The film feed assembly under normal operations should only require hand-cleaning using a soft
damp cloth or sanitised wipes. If the film feed has a registered film option sensors will be fitted.
These should be covered before cleaning takes place.
Wipe down the rollers ensuring they are clean and are free to rotate.
Wipe down the film feed cover at the rear of the machine especially the underside face
4.4.1 Film Feed Maintenance Checks
When cleaning the film feed assembly; carry out the following checks and report any damage to
your supervisor or an engineer:
• Check the film sensor is clean and secure.
• Check the rubber coating of the drive roller for cracks and damage as this may be an area
where contamination may collect.
• Check the rollers are free to rotate.
• Check the film path adjustment racks are clean and the roller can be locked.
