4.5 Film Rewind Assembly
The film rewind assembly under normal operations should only require hand-cleaning using a soft
damp cloth or sanitised wipes. If waste film is still on the rewind shaft remove before cleaning
Wipe down the rollers ensuring they are clean and are free to rotate.
Wipe down the film rewind cover at the rear of the machine especially the underside face
Check the expanding reel shaft for waste film debris.
4.5.1 Film Rewind Maintenance Checks
When cleaning the film feed assembly; carry out the following checks and report any damage to
your supervisor or an engineer:

• Check the rewind shaft for damage as this may be an area where film and contamination
may collect.
• Check the rollers are free to rotate.
• Check the rewind blade is free to move and can be locked in position.
