Note
When assigning a LAG to a VLAN, QNAP recommends removing individual LAG port
members from the VLAN, and then adding the entire group to the VLAN as required. If
individual port members are not removed, the VLAN is reset to its default settings.
Conguring IGMP Snooping
The Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) manages membership to IP multicast groups. IP hosts and
adjacent multicast routers use IGMP to establish multicast group memberships.
The IGMP Snooping page displays information about detected IGMP groups and provides access to IGMP
snooping conguration options.
1. Log in to QSS, or open QuNetSwitch in QTS.
2. Go to Conguration > IGMP Snooping .
3.
Next to IGMP Snooping, click .
IGMP snooping is enabled.
4. Congure the IGMP snooping settings.
Setting Description
Multicast ood blocking Blocks multicast ooding from unknown sources
Router Port Species which ports to use as the router port for the VLAN
After receiving an IGMP packet, QuNetSwitch forwards the trac
through the selected router ports.
Fast Leave Species the ports that support the IGMP v2 Fast Leave feature
After receiving an IGMP leave message, QuNetSwitch stops forwarding
multicast trac to the selected Fast Leave ports.
5. Click Apply.
QSS or QuNetSwitch saves the IGMP snooping settings.
Adding a Static MAC Address
The MAC address table tracks MAC addresses and forwards associated unicast trac through specic ports.
1. Log in to QSS, or open QuNetSwitch in QTS.
2. Go to Conguration > Trac > MAC Address Table .
3. Click Add.
The Add Static MAC Address window opens.
4. Specify the aging time for the MAC table.
Note
You can congure the amount of time that an entry remains in the MAC table.
5. Congure the MAC address settings.
a. Specify a VLAN ID.
b. Specify a MAC address.
