Basic: Enable the VAPStatus if you wish to provide wireless serviceunder this zone.Assign an ESSID for VAP2 under
PublicZoneorusedefault,theESSIDofPublicZonewillbebroadcastedindefaultsettingstoallowit tobescannedin
theair.
Security:Configure thewirel
essnetworkunderPublicZonewith securityencryptiontoprevent unauthorizedwireless
associationifnecessary.TheencryptionstandardssupportedareWEPandWPAPSK.
Advanced:TheparametersinAdvancedare wirelesssettingsthatallowcustomizationof data transmission,enhanced
securityandwirelessroaming.
Beacon Interval: The entered amount of time in
dicates how often the beacon signal will be sent from the VA P . The
defaultvalueissetat100ms.
RTSThreshold:Enteravaluebetween1and2346.RTS(RequesttoSend)Thresholddeterminesthepacketsizeatwhich
the system issues a request to send (RTS) before sending th
e frame to prevent the hidden node problem. The RTS
