• Check ropes and lashings.
• Check furling sections for external signs of damage.
• Check the functioning of manual operation.
• Check hydraulic couplings for external signs of damage and leaks.

Do not point a pressure washer at the winch handle socket.
• Rinse off all parts with fresh water.

7.3 Annual maintenance
The furling system must be dismantled in a shipyard for annual maintenance. See 9 Disassembly.
The following tasks and checks must be carried out within the scope of annual maintenance:
• Remove all contaminants and salt deposits.
• Check the forestay for damage.
• Check the ease of movement of the halyard swivel.
• Replace the lashings and shackles.
• Polish stainless steel parts.

7.4 Every five years
The following parts must be serviced by an authorised service station every five years:
• Drive unit with adjuster
• Halyard swivel
