Detaching the forestay from the drive unit

9.2 Detaching the forestay from the drive unit

9.2.1 Detaching the rod forestay

1. Remove the top bushing from the foil.

2. Insert the forestay through the drive unit until the rod head can be seen protruding from the rod

collet.

3. Unscrew and remove the rod collet.

9.2.2 Detaching the wire forestay

1. Remove the top bushing from the furling section.

2. Insert the forestay through the drive unit until the special nut can be seen protruding from the

drive unit.

3. Pull the pin out of the special nut.

4. Unscrew the special nut from the forestay.
