Warning
Risk of serious injury through winch handle backlash
Do not use the furling system if the gear is no longer self
-locking. Send the drive unit to a
service station for repair.
If the drive fails or the drive energy supply is disrupted, the furling system can be operated with a
winch handle. Due to the design it is not possible for the furling system to recoil against the winch
handle.
This gear feature can become lost due to wear after prolonged use. If this occurs send the drive
unit to a service station for repair.
1. Insert the winch handle completely into the winch handle socket. Rotate the winch handle
slightly to insert it fully if it cannot be inserted all the way. The drive has now been decoupled
from the gear.
2. Rotate the winch handle to furl or unfurl the sail.
3. Pull the winch handle out of the winch handle socket.
