Completing the forestay (R5 – R7)

5.2.6 Fitting the furling section connector

1. R5: Slide the furling section connector on to the forestay; R6, R7: mount a split connector.

2. Insert split connector bushings into the ends of the furling section connector and screw in tightly.

3. Place the threaded plate in the recess in the furling section connector.

4. Slide the furling section connector with threaded plate into the furling section.

5. Screw the furling section connector to the furling section using two screws. (R6, R7: screw on

using three screws.)

5.2.7 Fitting standard furling sections

Carry out the following steps for each standard furling section.

1. Slide the standard furling section on to the forestay.

2. Place the threaded plate in the recess in the furling section connector and slide the standard

furling section over it.
