OVERLAY
Select which overlay shows on top of the video. RED provides preset overlays, which have “(RED)” in the
overlay name. Create custom overlays in the Overlay tab. For more information, go to “Overlay” on page 64.
RESOLUTION
Select the output resolution for HDMI and HD-SDI monitors (you cannot select a resolution for LCD and EVF
monitors, since these are determined automatically).

176.
FREQUENCY
Determines the monitor frequency. Available frequencies depend on the selected monitor. For HD-SDI monitors,
the frequency depends on the project time base. For more information, go to “HD-SDI Out” on page 175 and
“HDMI Out” on page 176.
TOOLS
Enables the false color modes on the monitor. For more information, go to “Tools” on page 58.
FLIP/MIRROR UI
Flip the graphical user interface (GUI) vertically and mirror horizontally (not rotated). Use this setting when
mounting a monitor upside down. This setting only affects the monitor, and not affect captured footage.
FLIP VIDEO
Flip footage horizontally, so that it is upside down. This setting only affects the monitor, and not affect captured
footage.
