Translation: Class A (Broadcasting and Communication equipment for Business)
Sellers and users should note that this equipment is an electromagnetic device for business (class A), and is intended for use outside
the home.
Hazardous Location
The FlowVPX instrument, Beams controller, and Beams source have been tested and certified compliant with requirements for
Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D; 0°C ≤ T
amb
≤ 48°C.
The final installation and wiring method of the device must meet the requirements of National Electrical Code (NEC) for USA and
Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) for Canada and is subject to approval by the local authority having jurisdiction, expressed through a
note in the certificate and report. The relevant equipment is usually installed by the end user on a skid for their process and must
include cable trays to lay the cabling into.
Conditions of Use:
• To be supplied by a battery or Class 2 certified power supply.
• The interconnection cables between different components uses a power-limited tray cable (Type PLTC), as allowed for
applications supplied by a Class 2 or Class 3 power source. Alternatively, all components shall be installed in a NEMA 4
enclosure.
• USB connection to be used only in non-hazardous areas.

WARNING: Shock Hazard: Danger of electrocution. Good electrical grounding is essential to avoid potentially serious
shock hazards. A three-wire outlet with ground connection must be provided for the power supplies included with
the Beams System, Cary 60 light source, and computer. Make certain that power outlets are earth grounded at the
grounding pin.
CAUTION: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure any alternate power supply conforms with the required voltage and
current ratings.
