When a Staple Is Jammed
When removing a jammed staple, see the description inside the cover on the finisher.
1. Check the part where the staple jam occurred on the screen.
When the display is turned off, press [Check] in [Check Status] "Mach. Status".
2. Follow the procedure described in the animated illustration to remove the jammed staple.
3. Close all covers that have been opened.
• When operating the machine, do not put your hand inside the booklet finisher tray of the
finisher's staple unit. You may trap your fingers in the machine's gap and injury can result.
• If jamming of staples occurs frequently, check that the paper is not curled.

Push in the cartridge
gently.
Pull down the face
plate of the cartridge
until it clicks.
Remove jammed
staples.
Open the face plate.Hold lever S1, and
then pull it up.
Pull out the
cartridge gently.
Open the finisher front
cover.
Push the cartridge until
it clicks.
Push the lever S1
towards you.
Close the finisher front
cover.
