Laser Unit
 Turn off the main power switch and unplug the machine before attempting any of the
procedures in this section. Laser beams can seriously damage your eyes.
Caution Decal Locations
A caution decal is attached as shown below.
 Be sure to turn off the main switch and disconnect the power plug from the power outlet before
beginning any disassembly or adjustment of the laser unit. This machine uses a class IIIB
laser beam. The laser can cause serious eye injury.
Laser Unit
1. Remove the top cover (Printer models: Top Cover, MF models: Top Cover).
2. Remove the laser unit [A].
After replacing the laser unit, check the registration by printing the test pattern. (Test Pattern
Printing)
Laser Unit Thermistor
1. Remove the top cover (Printer models: Top Cover, MF models: Top Cover).
