CAUTION
Connect only 5V signals, otherwise the hardware may be damaged. Use either the terminals
OR RJ45 for connection, not both at the same time!

For the selection and setting of encoders, please refer to the ENCODER appendix in the man-
ual. Two connections are available: screw terminals (X2) and RJ45 (X1). An encoder can be con-
nected directly to the screw terminals, the encoder can be connected cleanly and shielded to
the RJ45 connection using a commercially available Ethernet patch cable, and the dierential
line driver is designed to match.
To ensure the interference immunity of the signals, the signal must be transmitted dierential-
ly, recognisable by the connections A+, A-, B+ and B-. Normal signals can be converted into a
dierential signal with the Rocketronics „dierential line driver“. An index signal is not neces-
sary and is not used.
