I-RADIUS ( INTERN RADIUS CONCAV
This mode is used to rotate convex outer radii. The X and Z axes are moved simultaneously. In
addition to round radii, elliptical radii are also possible.
This operation does not go beyond XP and ZP. For clarication, the exact route is shown below:
Pr = cutting radius
1. Tool is moved to -ZP
2. Tool is being moved forward by the Tool Corner Radius PR into the material
3. Contour is being cut
4. The traverse ends at -XP, the tool is then still in the Z direction by the amount of the cutting
radius beyond 0.
5. Then the axes move to 0.0 or to the resting position.
The radius is dened here by the values ZP and XP:
Circular radius: XP=ZP Elliptical radius: XP≠ ZP
