I-RADIUS ( INTERN RADIUS CONCAV
This mode is used to rotate convex outer radii. The X and Z axes are moved simultaneously. In
addition to round radii, elliptical radii are also possible.
This operation does not go beyond XP and ZP. For clarication, the exact route is shown below:
Pr = cutting radius
1. Tool is moved to -ZP
2. Tool is being moved forward by the Tool Corner Radius PR into the material
3. Contour is being cut
4. The traverse ends at -XP, the tool is then still in the Z direction by the amount of the cutting
radius beyond 0.
5. Then the axes move to 0.0 or to the resting position.
The radius is dened here by the values ZP and XP:
Circular radius: XP=ZP Elliptical radius: XP≠ ZP
