Use cables of sucient length, but shorten overlong cables if possible. The cross-section of
the cables should be suciently dimensioned, especially the cables between driver and motor,
where high currents ow.

For better noise immunity it is important to use shielded cables.
If possible, use the RJ45 sockets to connect the drivers and the encoder, there are inexpensive
adapters and panel feed-throughs available that allow the use of shielded patch cables.
If you use other cables please make sure that they are shielded. The shield is optimally con-
nected to the control ground on one side only. There are several terminals with GND available,
which can be used for the shield connection.
At the back of the housing there is also a 6.3mm at plug for grounding, connect a cable for
grounding the housing here. The rear panel is not anodized and therefore electrically conduc-
tive. A common connection of all cableshields to this point is ideal.
Common practice is to attach a stranded wire to the shield of the cable, with which the shield-
ing can then be clamped.
