GEARBOX LEFT
Electronic gear with freely selectable feed rate. The motor is driven at the set feed rate, the
spindle stops -> the motor also stops. This is identical with the condition before the conversion
of the machine, the gear is now replaced by the ELS. If the spindle turns to the left, the carriage
moves to the left, if the spindle turns to the right, the carriage moves to the right.
If the end position („Z P“) is < 0, the slide also stops at the end position, but internally the control
calculates the position so that, for example, the beginning of a thread is found correctly again
in the thread cycle.
After changing to this cycle, the feed must rst be started with START for safety reasons. The
STOP key can be used to stop and restart the feed at any time.
GEARBOX RIGHT
The same, but the other way round, e.g. for left-hand threads.
Tip: In these GEARBOX-cycles, the X axis can be deactivated with XOFF to be able to feed man-
ually in the X direction.
If the carriage moves in the wrong direction in one of the gear modes, you must reverse the
direction in the encoder settings: Then switch to SETTINGS -> SETUP ENCODER -> DIRECTION
REVERSE and change the direction there. If the carriage then moves in the correct direction, the
system will function correctly.
