2) Systems description
2.1) Electric starter
The electric starter is a DC motor with permanent magnets and carbon brushes.
The gear-tooth system on the armature shaft is permanently engaged in the
intermediate gear.
During the startup process, the sprag clutch establishes a connection to the
crankshaft via the intermediate gear and the free wheel gear. As soon as the
engine speed is higher than the speed generated by the electric starter, the
sprag clutch disengages.
