The purpose of enriching the mixture is to reduce the thermal load on the
engine during the shorter takeoff phase and to provide added protection against
knocking combustion (detonation).
â–² WARNING: The pressure connecting lines must function properly to ensure
correct engine running. Otherwise engine stoppage can be
expected. The lines must therefore be in serviceable condition
and free of kinks, secured with clamps and seated securely on
their connections.
