◆ NOTE: Gearboxes without an overload clutch have no third
disc spring (17), centering rib or slipper clutch. Instead,
they are fitted with a second step collar, see Fig. 72-53.
■ CAUTION : If the disc springs are not well centered, the dog gear
cannot be depressed sufficiently to allow insertion of
ring halves. Do not increase the pressure, but remove
the clutch again and center the disc springs more
accurately.
◆ NOTE: Coat contact surfaces of disc springs and dogs as well
as the tooth profile of propeller shaft with LOCTITE
Anti-Seize.
