Replacing the Optional Ribbon Saver Motor
Driver PCB
Required tool:
• Phillips screwdriver
1 Make sure that the printer is in power off
mode, then disconnect the power cord
from the AC outlet.
2 Open the rear housing covers from the
printer.
Refer to Section 5.1.1 Opening the Rear
Housing Cover for details.
3 Disconnect all the cables from the
connectors (as listed below) on the
optional ribbon saver motor driver
PCB .
A: CONT, connects to the HEAD_UP connector
of the main (CONT) PCB.
B: SEN, connects to the ribbon saver sensor.
C: MOT, connects to the ribbon saver motor.
4 Remove four screws attaching the
ribbon saver motor driver PCB to
the bracket.
5 Replace the defective ribbon saver
motor driver PCB
.
6 Perform the assembly with the reverse
procedure.
