Checking the Ribbon End Function
1 Press the power switch on the operator
panel to “I” position.
2 When the printer is in online mode, press
the LINE button to change the printer
to offline mode.
3 Press the ENTER button.
The printer changes to setting mode menu.
4 Select the ADVANCED MODE using the
/// buttons.
ADVANCED MODE shows on the screen and the
icon is highlighted in reverse.
5 Press the ENTER button to enter the
advanced mode.
PRINTER TYPE shows on the screen.
Note
If password function is enabled, PASSWORD is shown
on the screen instead. In this case, enter the password
first.
6 Press the ENTER button again until
PRINT METHOD shows on the screen.
7 Press the / buttons to select
TRANSFER.
8 Press the ENTER button to save the
setting.
9 Press the FUNCTION button twice to return to the offline mode.

Make sure that the ribbon is not loaded to the printer.
