KB Download Mode
This KB download feature allows the operator to download KB (key board) firmware from SD card and
write to the Flash ROM memory of the KB PCB.
The flowchart shows the sequence of the setting screens for the KB download mode. The table
describes each setting screen in detail.
Note
• Make sure that the LED4 in the right figure lights off before entering this
mode.
• In this mode, there is neither LED indication (other than Power LED) nor
beep when an error occurs.
• Hold down the LINE, FUNCTION and
arrow buttons until the
first screen shows.
• To start download, the DSW 1-6 on the main (CONT) PCB should be set
from OFF to ON, then ON to OFF.
• KB firmware can be downloaded from SD card only. (Downloading from
USB memory is not supported.)
• The screen message is shown in English regardless of the language set in
the SERVICE mode.
• In this mode, the printer takes longer time to be powered off. Make sure
that the LED4 in the right figure lights off before you power on the printer
again.
