5.10 Replacing the Ribbon Sensor
Required tool:
• Phillips screwdriver
1 Make sure that the printer is in power off mode, then disconnect the power cord from
the AC outlet.
2 Open the top cover of the printer.
CAUTION
Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of the cover.
3 Open the rear housing covers from the printer.
Refer to Section 5.1.1 Opening the Rear Housing Cover for details.
4 Disconnect the ribbon feed sensor
cable .
5 On the front of the printer, remove the
thumbscrew  attached to the cover 
on top of the print head assembly.
Remove the cover  and place it aside.
6 Remove two screws  and the belt
cover .
