Checking the Head Open Error
1 Set the power switch of the printer to the
“I” position.
2 Open the top cover.
CAUTION
Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of
the cover.
3 When the printer is in online mode, turn
the head lock lever clockwise to
unlock the print head.
Make sure that the printer shows the HEAD
OPEN error messages, and along with the
buzzer sounds.
4 If no error occurs, check the connection of
the head open sensor connector.
If there is no problem, replace the sensor. Refer to
Section 5.12 Replacing the Head Open Sensor
for details.
