Chapter 4 Fault diagnosis
SMSO-2-02.04- 15.07.03 125
Miscellaneous faults / Refrigerator faults
System / component Possible cause Remedy
Not water-tight during cleaning
process
Rotary-vane type pump
Pressure set too high adjust (see “Maintenance, set pump
pressure”)
Solenoid valve for rinsing opera-
tion
Baffles at outlet missing, or incorrect
size installed
replace / install a suitable baffle (see
spare parts catalogue; take note of the
diameter of the baffle)
Pipes Hoses defective or not pushed correctly
onto the nipples
check / replace
Milk system pipes
The milk nipple baffle on the nipple
holder is missing, or the wrong size has
been installed
replace / install a suitable baffle (see
spare parts catalogue; take note of the
diameter of the baffle)
Milk foam system pipes
The baffle at the inlet nipple on the venti-

replace / install a suitable baffle (see
spare parts catalogue; take note of the
diameter of the baffle)
The interior of the refrigerator is
covered with sprayed milk (venti-

Steam rinsing incorrectly programmed:
The opening time of the steam outlet
valves for the steam rinsing operation is
too long. This means that milk is sucked
up from the container for too long, and it
sprays out when the ventilation valve
opens.
Correct the programming (see pro-
gramming instructions)
Rinsing (HOTFLUSH) does not function

into the water level of the siphon.
Relief pipe is too short / falling distance

Guide the pipe into the siphon so that
the pipe end is free.
Lay the relief pipe in such a way that the
hose flow is as far as possible under the
machine.
