Chapter 6 Control system diagram
SMSO-2-02.06- 15.07.03 183
6.5.2 Power PCB, control voltage
Operating conditions
When the mains disconnection unit is switched on and fuse inserts installed, the 36V, 36V S and 5V DC voltages for the control
system and consumers are generated via the toroidal core transformer, the power PCB and a section of the unit control system.
Symptoms
The machine has no or only partial consumer or control voltage (e.g. display unit, ventilators or other components are not func-
tioning).
Procedure
Process
step
Check Possible cause Remedy
1
Take voltage measurement at the
connection terminals to the ma-
chine:
L1, N:
Mains voltage ?
Check the mains connection (see
“mains connection”)
Fault in mains connection
2
Measure voltage at power PCB
input at control fuse F1:
Input (top), N
Mains voltage ?
Output (bottom), N
Mains voltage ?
Cable broken or pulled out of
terminal / plug
Plug contacts on power PCB faulty
/ oxidised
F1 fuse faulty
Replace cable or reinsert it into
the terminal
Check / replace the plug contacts /
cable
Replace fuse F1
3
Measure voltage at power PCB at
control fuse F3:
Input (top), GND = 24 V AC
Output (bottom), GND = 24 V AC
Over-temperature fuse in toroidal
core transformer has triggered as
a result of overload
Plug/cable to transformer faulty /
oxidised
F3 fuse faulty
The over-temperature fuse resets
automatically, wait for transformer
to cool down.
Check plug contact / cable; test
the transformer, replace if neces-
sary
Replace fuse F3
4
Take voltage measurement at the
soldering tags at X54-57:
+36 V, GND =36 V DC ?
+36 V S, GND =36 V DC ?
Rectifier is faulty
To ensure that relay 1 switches, all
limit-switch monitored doors / ca-
sing panels etc must be closed. In
addition, the software must be op-
erating perfectly.
Relay 1 faulty
Replace the power PCB
Check limit switches
Carry out a software function
check
Replace the power PCB
5
Take voltage measurement at the
5V soldering tag:
+5 V, GND =5 V DC ?
5V voltage supply faulty
Flat cable / plug between power
PCB and unit control system is
faulty / oxidised.
Replace unit control system
Replace power PCB / unit control
