Why is there no access to Seca patient database of Seca 115 PC software?
    • M
      megan14Sep 18, 2025
If there is no access to the Seca patient database of the Seca 115 PC software, it could be due to several reasons. It may be that no Seca 360° wireless network is set up between the device and the PC, or that no Ethernet connection is set up. The device could be connected to a standalone PC via an Ethernet cable, and the PC’s network card does not permit automatic crossover. Alternatively, no USB memory stick might be connected to the touchscreen display, the PC on which the Seca 115 PC software is installed might not be switched on, the Seca 115 PC software might not be started, no Seca CLS network might be set up, or the Seca CLS server of the Seca 115 PC software might not be started.

    • I
      Isabel RobinsonAug 25, 2025
If the results report is not being printed, ensure the PC printer is switched on, the PC on which the Seca 115 PC software is installed has been switched on, and a link has been set up between the Seca 115 PC software and the PC printer.

Why is there no access to Seca patient database with USB connected to Seca 514 Medical Equipment?
    • E
      Ebony CordovaSep 18, 2025
If a USB memory stick is connected to the touchscreen display but there is no access to the Seca patient database, it may be due to several reasons. A non-initialized USB memory stick may be in use, a PIN may not have been entered or was entered incorrectly, an unsuitable USB memory stick may be in use, or there may be interference from high-frequency emissions from other devices. Ensure you are using the supplied USB memory stick or a FAT16 USB memory stick, that you enter your user PIN or the PIN for the USB memory stick correctly, and that you increase the distance from high-frequency devices.

What does 'Electrode detection failed' mean on Seca Medical Equipment and how to resolve it?
    • R
      Robert MillsSep 9, 2025
If the following message appears on your Seca Medical Equipment: “Electrode detection failed,” it may be due to the patient’s skin being too dry or too calloused. In this case, spray the skin at the contact points with electrode spray. If the issue persists, the electrodes may be faulty, and you should inform Seca service.

Why is an evaluation parameter value shown in red on Seca 514?
    • N
      noblekristiSep 10, 2025
If a value of an evaluation parameter is shown in red on your Seca Medical Equipment, it indicates that the value is outside the normal range determined for that parameter. Repeat the measurement to rule out any measurement errors. If the repeat measurement also produces a value outside the normal range, consider this value in further investigations.

Why doesn't 0.00 appear before weighing on my Seca 514?
    • T
      Travis LucasSep 3, 2025
If 0.00 does not appear before weighing on your Seca Medical Equipment, it indicates that the device had a load on it before it was switched on. Remove the load from the device, switch it off, and then switch it back on again.
