6.6 Teach-in key-operated switch
$ For teach-in a reset button must be connected to the C 4000 (see chapter 6.5 “Reset
button” on page 51).
$ If you connect a teach-in key-operated switch to the C 4000, then you can no longer use
the emergency stop or bypass functions in the C 4000.
$ If you use a SICK switching amplifier, then you can also connect the teach-in key-ope-
rated switch to the switching amplifier. There is more information in the operating
instructions for the switching amplifier.
Ensure that only authorised persons have access to the teach-in key.
Device symbol C 4000 Host (receiver), context menu Configuration draft, Edit, file card
General, option Teach-in key-operated switch active.
