13.7 Light spot size
Overview
T
he light spot has an elongated shape. The orientation of the light spot varies with the
angle at which the light beam exists the device.
The light spot has at its edges a transition area in which significantly less light hits the
object than in the central area. In the following, the light spot size is specified as the
area of the light spot that triggers a detection under normal conditions.
