Position tracking is continued:
The behavior during the switchover is the same as it would be if the data set had not even
been switched.
Position tracking newly initiated:
The behavior during the switchover is the same as the behavior after a POWER ON.
The position value read by the absolute encoder is compared to the stored value.
If the position difference is within the tolerance range, the position is corrected
correspondingly; if it is outside the range, a corresponding error message is generated.
Position tracking is reset:
The stored actual position value is rejected and the overflow counter is reset to zero.
