The following interrelationships are possible:
A' is at angle

Transformation with linear swivel axis
This is an arrangement with a moving workpiece and
a moving tool.
The kinematics comprise three linear axes
(X, Y, Z) and two rotary axes at right angles. The
first rotary axis is moved, for example, via the cross
slide of two linear axes, the tool is positioned in
parallel to the third linear axis.
The second rotary axis rotates the workpiece.
The third linear axis (swivel axis) is in the plane of
the cross slide.
The axis sequence of the rotary axes and the
direction of orientation of the tool are set via
machine data as a function of the machine
kinematics.
